Just when you think time has run out on Santana, somehow he pulls it out, AGAIN. Why? Why so inconsistent? Well, actually, Santana has a history of beating up on the As. And he's good at home. Especially at night. So he had three things going for him last night.
I just, seriously, do NOT trust him. He's way too inconsistent. I figured tonight he'd fall apart too and it would be the end of my stressing out. But no, that'll guaruntee him at least one more start. But you know, I'm not sure who I'd rather have - him or Colon - pitching in the starting rotation. All I know, is that they better not send Saunders down. He's definitely proven his worth, better than the others, for sure.
I thought it funny to see GA hit another one out. This is almost out of hand. He's tied right now for the most RBIs since the All-Star break, with Magglio Ordonez of Detroit. That's just ridiculous. And another for Matthews Jr. But how about Mathis??? This guy, I don't know. Like I said before, the more he plays, the more impressed I am. He really is the Wall. In fact, I will now solely refer to him by that name.
- So last night, the Wall did it again. Two games in a row, 2-run homers. I almost felt it coming before it happened. He's awesome. Thank you Scioscia for bringing him out of the minors. He's way too entertaining to not be a major league player.
I love the depth in this team. I think that's my favorite part. There are so many guys that can equally cover each other. It makes such a dynamic lineup every night. It's so exciting to see. So much growth!
In Other News:
Tomorrow's post, shall be MUCH more interesting. I'm going to tonight's game! YAY!!! You really can't imagine my excitement right now. Not even joking.
So I'll hopefully have some pictures to load and some good things to say. This will be the first time I've personally seen Weaver pitch (I've only seen Lackey, Escobar, and Saunders), and I'm looking forward to it. A lot.
So PLEASE keep reading, commenting, and coming back! Tell others! Ha! No, I'm not begging for readers.... Not at all!
