I was more than excited to see Juan Rivera, let me tell you. I almost don't care that the Angels lost, just because of it. So he grounded into a double play and struck out. Whatever! He's back! He'll get back into the "swing" of things (ha!) once he adjusts to being back. After all, he was gone for a pretty freaking long time...
I'm still pissed off about that last inning though. Bases loaded, 2 outs... And I don't care what the replay says about Garret Anderson's CHECKED swing. In real time, it didn't look like he swung at all. His wrists never broke into the swing, and from the REAL TIME view, it didn't look like it even went over teh plate. It was stupid and anticlimactic after the stress of that whole inning.
Shields loses another one. Man, he needs to get back in his groove. The All-Star break has been his demise it seems.
Other than that, not too many complaints about last night's game. Wished Lackey had gotten the win though. Oh well, next time. He's still got 5 more chances to get 4 more wins, to be a 20 game winner.
In Other News:
Poor Juan Encarnacion. They say it might be the end of his career. If you haven't seen the replay of it, wow. Find it. Looks brutal. They said it crushed several bones around his eye, and messed up his vision pretty bad. I would feel absolutely TERRIBLE if I was the guy that fouled it off.
