THANK YOU.

That was much better. Even with only 2 runs, but it's ok, I'll take 2-0. I don't know what it is about these teams, but there's always a close game, usually a one-run deferential. Why? Just something about these teams.

So we're nearing the end here, which makes me both sad and excited. But I can't believe some of these outcomes. I mean, of course the AL is to be expected, Angels, Red Sox, Indians, and Yankees. I'm a bit surprised the Tigers didn't make it after so much of the hype surrounding the team and Ordonez. But oh well, not nearly as surprising as the NL. The Cubs clinched, as to be expected, though the Brewers really did give them a run for their money at the end. But that's just the central. Let's take a look at the East, shall we?

WTF?

Where'd the Mets go? They fell off the face of the planet, it looks like. I'm really glad the Phillies have been able to pull it out and gain sole position of first in the East, but I'm almost kind of sad for the Mets. But that'll happen when you go on massive losing streaks right at the end. It's like they gave up, but you know they didn't. I really don't know what happened. They're on a five game slide. 1 win for the Phillies, and 1 loss for the Mets, will eliminate them.

But not only that, they're pretty close to elimination from the wildcard too. A game back from the Padres, tied with the Rockies in the wildcard race, but I really don't see them getting in this year. The Padres have been consistent enough, and they're still pretty close to the Diamondbacks.

It seems the only consistencies all year have been the Red Sox and the Angels. The Red Sox have had sole possession of the AL East since April 18th, and the Angels have had sole possession of the West all but 10 days out of the season. That's pretty ridiculous. There wasn't much doubt either team would be there, even with the closing in of the Yankees and the point when the Mariners came within a game (but they quickly fell off from that high, as we all witnessed).

I really just wish the Angels hadn't decided to get swept by Texas. I'm not looking forward to playing Boston the first round, with no homefield advantage. Hopefully it won't matter too much, I'm just hoping no one sweeps so that I can actually go to game 4, since that's the one I have tickets for. I'm really nervous. I know I shouldn't be, but I am. I know we're really focusing on setting the roster and using players to see what they can do, but still. Hopefully we can win in Oakland and get some kind of momentum.... *sigh*
