MIA

Oh man I missed a post! Crap! Yeah it's been one of those weekends, if ya know what I mean...

So I saw a bit of yesterday's game. Up by five, shutting Boston out and everything, but by the time I started watching, Big Papi hit his big grand slam and somehow all of a sudden the Angels were down 6-5. I was pissed. I got to about the bottom of the 8th and someone changed the channel on me. Ah, South Park. Guess baseball isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Anyway, I'm not quite sorry I missed the end, as they somehow dug themselves a deeper hole, but oh well.

And this morning, oh this morning. Saunders yet again. 7-1. The dude's got it going on. I really hope they don't option him back. It's really just time for him to pitch in the majors. Let Moseley go back to his place, and trial-basis Santana for a while. But seriously, Saunders is gold. And if they send him back... If I were him and that happened, I'd BEG to be traded. Because that's just kinda ridiculous.

Relatively low scoring game today. 3-1, compared to all the 5-9, 12-20 crap ha! But I'll take the series split. They gotta start winning here soon, with Seattle still closing in and stuff. Getting closer, 2.5 as of right now. But we'll see how it goes back at the Big A against the Yankees. They usually beat the Yankees. Not quite sure what it is, but the Angels smash them, home and away. I believe they're the only team - sans the Yankees - that have a winning record at Yankee stadium... that's pretty ridiculous.

I would've watched more of the game today, but the feed was all jacked up. The screen was all pixelated and it almost looked like a worm virus got into the system somewhere between Boston and here. It was irritating, and I couldn't stand it. So I switched to gameday. Man, I REALLY need to invest in mlb.tv....

So hopefully that'll help widen the gap between the Angels and Mariners, with some wins, though it'll mess things up in the East too, with Boston playing the White Sox next (yeah, they'll probably sweep or something close...)

Why does Seattle have an easier schedule right now??? Dang it. Fix it. Give them something harder. Angels need to hold on!!!

In Others News:

I was surfing TV channels yesterday morning for something to watch and stumbled upon the Yankees/Tigers game. Started watching about the top of the 6th, pretty much when all the damage went down. And the Yankees pull through again. It's ridiculous. Just when I think they'll slow down, they come from behind. They better not pull that crap these next few games. I'll be pissed. ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!

And Napoli tweaked his leg AGAIN.... so he's back to square one... so I guess that means we'll see more of Mathis for a while, with the occasional entrance of Budde... and no Kendrick until they figure out what to do with the starting rotation. I'm fine with that, ha!

Izturis as DH? Never thought I'd see that one! Even if they do use Willits once in a while. This is a completely different set-up here, though.

In Response:

Oh yeah, a little edited note here. Thanks for the comments, and I'm glad you enjoy reading. Keep coming back!!! Ha! I'm probably just as amused by your stuff as you are by mine. Gotta be careful though, if you start writing better stuff than me, I'm out of a job here! I'm teasing. But seriously. Thanks for reading. And keep commenting, because I really do enjoy the feedback.

Tomorrow at 7. It's going down. Oh yeah. I said it.

  1. Sigh....poor Napoli. We need him badly. Mathis is great at the defensive end but he REALLY needs to do more at the plate. He strikes out virtually EVERY time I watch him at the plate. The only good things I have only seen 3 good at bats for him. I can name them all. The first one was when he got an RBI ground-out (That's right, a ground-out. It wasn't even a hit!) against the Yankees at Yankee stadium. The 2nd one was when he hit a double. I don't remember where it was at, who it was against, or if that hit started a rally or anything significant. I just remembered that he hit a double. And the third one was his 1st big league homer. Other than that....I've pretty much seen nothing but K's. I know he is young and that he will get better, but I'd like to see it start happening sooner rather than later.
