... of that $90 million, that is.
I'm really just sorry Saunders didn't get the win, he's shown nothing but consistency in his two solid starts. I almost think they ought to have let him have a complete game, gone through the ninth, regardless of the fact that he was over 100+ pitches in the 8th.
You know what really kills me? The fact that had Torii Hunter still been a Twin and hit that walk-off grand slam, it would've been super front-page headlining news with photos and everything on mlb.com. Like right now, the front-page news is about the walk-offs by Miguel Tejada and Matt Holliday. And those were just walk-offs. Nothing like Hunter's GRAND-FREAKING-SLAM! No, instead, all he got was a cheap headline, that sits off to the side like discarded news, like such: Hunter bags big game with grand slam.
The Angels really do get no respect. Not only have I heard people saying that the Angels will win a "weak AL West" with no more than 86 wins, but will also be a "non-factor" in the playoffs.
You know what I say to that?
Torii Hunter had two home-runs tonight. Saunders allowed 1 earned run, in two outings might I add. And this is all with a list of injuries and minor set backs.
Give it time, they're ready to burst out of the gate. And with all these ninth inning rallies, don't be surprised if they kick everyone's asses in high pressure situations.
Don't ever count them out. EVER. I don't care if they're down by freaking eleven with two outs in the bottom of the ninth. It ain't over yet.
