UPDATE FOR PERSONAL REASONS

First things first, in response to the series of posts I've had up regarding the movement of one Reggie Willits, I have currently purchased one jersey of said player for the express purpose of protesting said movement.

HA! TAKE THAT!

In other news, I responded to an ad a couple weeks ago regarding another journalism website which is specifically baseball commentary for the Angels an the Dodgers.  Their selection basis was through an email I sent regarding my personal and professional history, as well as my passion for the game and the things I've even written in this blog.

I received an email last night telling me that I have made the final cut, and now I need to write an article about Opening Day.  i will be posting that shortly (probably tomorrow morning) and I would love to hear your opinions about it.  If I'm chosen, and I'll hear from them between now and Opening Day I'm assuming, that will be the article they will receive.  H'ok? H'ok!

... by the way, I'm still listening to the games on KLA830, which has live feeds online (I bet you can guess what I'm doing during the last few periods of my substitute duty during the days... ha!) and I'm actually pretty impressed by what's going on.  The Angels may not be leading the cactus league, but like I've said before, that's not all that important.  What is important, is that we are seeing how well our minor league system breeds a similar calibur of player, so that when they get on the field together and in these various combinations, they still play roughly pretty good baseball.  Hainley Statia and Peter Borgios have been some of the more talked about, more impressive minor league players (I think more so than Brandon Wood, who REALLY needs to learn plate discipline...), and pitching from O'Day and Adenhart have gotten them noticed as well.

So needless to say, I'm ready for this season to just start already.  And I'm ready for Kendrick to start making his routine plays, but that's another story :)

  1. Jered Weaver is pitching like a Cy Young winner and Adenhart has not disappointed one iota. Maybe he'll get a shot to make the rotation sooner than expected since the two staff aces Lackey and Escobar will miss the first month or so.
